About

We run the intelligence operation you would have to build.

beacon49 is a Track49 product. Track49 builds working software for organizations whose results are set by forces outside their walls, and beacon49 is the part of that work we now run as a service.

Why it exists

Every organization we worked with had the same gap. They knew their market was moving and they had no honest way to see it. The tools on offer were either a keyword alert that buried them, or a research retainer that arrived a month late. Neither is an operation. Both leave a person reading headlines between real work and hoping they catch the one that counts.

So we built the thing we kept being asked for: a standing watch on a defined market, reading everything published about it, scoring it against what that specific business cares about, and surfacing the small number of documents that change a decision.

How we work

  1. Principle 01

    Every claim keeps its source

Nothing on a beacon49 screen is unattributed. Every figure, overview line and extraction points back to the document it came from, so you can check it before you act on it.

  2. Principle 02

A model reads, a person decides

Machines are good at reading a hundred thousand documents and bad at knowing which one matters to you. We use them for the first job and design the screen for the second.

  3. Principle 03

We build it, you do not configure it

There is no setup wizard and no empty workspace. You describe the market, we build and tune it, and we keep tuning it as the market shifts.

  4. Principle 04

    Your market, not a template

A marine book needs an exposure matrix. A sector under speculation needs a hype gauge. Panels are built for the question that market actually asks.

Tell us what you cannot afford to miss.

Forty minutes on your market is usually enough for us to tell you whether we can help, and what the first dashboard would cover.
